Date: 4TH FEBRUARY 2022

Subject: UTAG STRIKE,THE PLIGHT OF STUDENTS.

ON THE 3RD OF FEBRUARY 2022.

The SRC President of Gimpa, joined by other SRC Presidents across the nation who constitute as NEC, a bloc of NUGS, presented a petition in regards to the UTAG strike to the chief of staff at the jubilee house.

Due to the unplanned meeting of ECOWAS Heads of states which was held yesterday, the NEC was redirected to meet with the Minister for Education and the Minister for Labour and employment to present its petition.

We want to reiterate that, USAG is on neutral grounds, pleading with both UTAG and Government to resolve the strike issues and take students plight to heart.

The meeting was successful and we are looking forward to meeting UTAG on the same issues very soon.

The SRC shall continue to pursue students interests both internally and externally as its HALLMARK.
