Dear Students,

RE: UPDATE ON REGISTRATION FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER OF THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR AND EXTENSION OF SECOND SEMESTER REGISTRATION WITHOUT PENALTY.

As per the last update on registration sent on the 22nd of April 2022, The SRC received numerous complaints from students regarding the long holidays and how it will affect their late reflection of fees and also attract a penalty.

The SRC accordingly, petitioned Management through the Dean of Students Affairs and the following reliefs were granted:

  1. Student who paid their first semester/trimester fees but could not register should submit their  details to their School/Faculty/Campus Officer by Friday, 13th May 2022,
  • This, as detailed in (1), students who were affected by (1) above will be registered in August 2022 and the date for the special exams will be communicated thereof,
  • The SRC would like to inform the general student body, especially final year students who were affected by these issues that, they would not be able to partake in the July graduation per the Academic Calendar, a mop-up graduation would be arranged in December for final year students who were affected by (1) above. The SRC would like to express its sympathy to  all affected students, we share your pain and anxiety,
  • The SRC would like to inform the general student’s body that, the end of registration without penalty has been extended from Friday, May 6, 2022, to Friday, May 13, 2022,
  • The SRC would like to reiterate that, all students who have paid their fees are entreated to register before the penalty regime kicks in from Saturday, 14th May 2022.

With the extension of the free penalty regime from 6th to 13th May 2022, all students are advised to make payment by Wednesday, 11th May 2022 to be able to register on Friday, 13th May 2022.

  • The SRC would like to inform the general student body, especially students who were affected by these issues, to register for the second semester as soon as possible to avoid any deferment,
  • Any challenge encountered during registration should be reported to I.T and Academic Affairs for assistance,
  • The SRC would like to advise all students to make payments of their fees on time as well as register their courses before the deadlines for registration to avoid any inconveniences in the future,
  • The SRC would like to express its profound gratitude to the Dean of Students Affairs, Management, and The GIMPA Governing Council for their support.

Thank you.
