The Executive Committee of the Students Representative Council wishes to inform you by this notice that the 2018\19 elections of the SRC that was scheduled for today Thursday 16th May 2019 is being be held as scheduled.

It has come to the notice of the Students Representative Council that various emails and write ups have been sent to students mails and all stakeholders of the institute stating that the Students Representative Council elections has either been cancelled of rescheduled.

We emphatically state that the election has neither been cancelled nor postponed. While we admit and sincerely apologize that the time schedule of the elections has not been strictly followed owing to a number of administrative issues, we are happy to say that all such issues have been permanently resolved and the elections shall take place as follows:

Date: Thursday, 16th May 2016. Time: 12:30 PM TO 9:00 PM.

The Electoral Commission has been well furnished with all logistics to run a smooth, free and fair election.

Further, students are strongly advised and encouraged to turn up and vote to ensure a competitive electoral process. In that same light, we expect the highest form of decorum throughout the voting process and even to the counting of ballots. The institute has provided enough and sufficient security personnel to ensure for a peaceful election.

The Executive Committee of the Students Representative Council expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Management of the Institute for its timely intervention and support to advance the realization of a key constitutional dictate of electing to office the next officials of the Students Representative Council to ensure continuity for the Union.

All aspirants and students are well appreciated for the consistent support and patience as far as this election is concerned.

This notice supersedes all other notices sent in regards to the commencement of the elections. We wish all aspirants the very best.
