It is with immense pleasure that we announce that our Deputy Rector, PHILIP DUKU OSEI, PROFESSOR of Public Service and Management, has been given a new appointment by the President of the Republic of Ghana.
Our own Deputy Rector is now the INTERIM VICE-CHANCELLOR of the SIMON DIEDONG DOMBO UNIVERSITY OF BUSINESS & INTEGRATED STUDIES, Wa, Upper West Region of Ghana. The new university was formerly part of the campus of the University of Development Studies.
The appointment by the President of the Republic is surely another step forward in the career of a fine gentleman whom we have come to know and treasure at GIMPA.

We are supremely confident that he will make an indelible mark as the founding Vice-Chancellor of the new university.
The Council for the new university will be sworn in on 30th April 2020 at which time we expect Professor Duku Osei to be confirmed.
The Deputy Rector’s tenure at GIMPA will end officially on 31st August 2020, and he will take a leave of absence for this national assignment, to give his new appointment full attention.
We celebrate this new appointment with Professor Duku Osei and lift high the voice of GIMPA in CONGRATULATIONS!
