Philip is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance at the Institute and Ghana Stock exchange Certification program.
Philip believes the necessity and essence of life are to, give back to the society or community in which we find ourselves and to add value where necessary. This relenting desire and motivation is demonstrated in his earnest contribution to student activism so far.
Prior to assuming office as the SRC Treasurer, he was part of the write-up team for the 2017 matriculation speech. He served as a Course Representative from level 100 to 200 before resigning to the Ivy for the Treasury position.
He also served as General Assemblymember for two consecutive academic years. Due to his high sense of commitment and advocacy to build a strong and united student front, earned him an appointment opportunity to serve as a member of the Fund recovery committee and the Finance committee.
Philip currently serves as a Wellness Ambassador to the GIMPA Counselling Unit.
“I believe together we can build a Financial Framework that promotes solidarity, prudence, sanity, and transparency; to create value for and protect the purse of the GIMPA student,”said Philip when asked of his vision for the Office.
He hopes to become one of the world’s renowned Chartered Financial Analyst, a Certified Financial Planner and a Financial Literacy Advocate.
